Margaret Kleinmann is our executive director here at Solstice Senior Living at East Amherst. Margaret comes to Solstice with 30 years of experience working for our elders in Western New York. Margaret attended St. John Fisher College, where she earned her B.S. degree in gerontology, followed by attaining her M.S. degree in geriatrics at the University at Buffalo. She is committed to providing superior services to her residents. The Solstice residents and their families come first at Solstice Senior Living at East Amherst. The Solstice management team understands and respect her leadership to provide the positive culture that Solstice Senior Living is all about. She has spent her career involved in associations that keep vigilant in research in Alzheimer’s disease, ALS, Parkinson’s and arthritis.
Margaret has already built a star management team of professionals who are committed to excellence in care and compassion toward the residents. The Elevate and Vibrant Life programs are progressing to be the region’s role models in programming.
She is married, and has two sons and a black Lab pup that keep her busy. She enjoys music, sports, travel and theater.
Sales and Marketing Director
Stephanie Mruczek, sales and marketing director of Solstice Senior Living in East Amherst, brings over 10 years of sales and marketing experience. Stephanie has spent most of her career in both the financial and health care fields. She has tactically implemented and managed many customer relationship management platforms among various forums. She remains strategy-minded and a highly motivated professional with a demonstrated results-oriented mindset aimed at delivering profitable solutions. She is well-organized with extensive experience in leadership and implementation of marketing objectives. Stephanie has a long record of assisting and guiding families with her wealth of knowledge in the senior housing industry. She has always focused on achieving the highest level of satisfaction and well-being of the individuals and families whom she has the privilege of working with.
Outside of the office, Stephanie volunteers for the Parkinson’s Foundation as a support group facilitator. She has also dedicated much of her time volunteering for the Alzheimer’s Association, Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Ride for Roswell. She is a member of the networking marketing committee for the Network in Aging of Western New York.
Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from SUNY Fredonia.
Building and Safety Director
Harold Johnson is the building and safety director for Solstice Senior Living at East Amherst. Harold joins the team at East Amherst with extensive experience in building maintenance as well as facility management. Harold has also spent over 12 years of his career in the culinary arts. He holds HVAC, boiler and cooling certifications, as well as security and first aid. He has considerable experience in alarm systems pertaining to fire safety. Harold also supervises the housekeeping team with pride.
Harold shares compassion, laughter and a sense of commitment to the community. His residents are his No. 1 priority as he volunteers to play blackjack each week to promote camaraderie through the Vibrant Life program here at Solstice Senior Living.
Harold is a proud father a 13-year-old daughter alongside his large, supportive family.
Business Office Director
Katherine Johnson is the business office director at Solstice Senior Living at East Amherst. Katherine has over 20 years of experience working in paralegal services, office management, accounts receivable, human resources and payroll processes. She is a graduate of Niagara County Community College and Bryant and Stratton College. Katherine exemplifies a well-rounded employee with extensive knowledge in policies and procedures. She assists the executive director with operations management and helps provide a positive culture for all to admire. Her knowledge and professionalism help drive forward the sustainable systems put in place here at Solstice Senior Living.
Katherine is a proud mom to two daughters and two mini-dachshunds. She lives in nearby Clarence and has been married for 29 years.
Culinary Services Director
Judy McNew, culinary services director for Solstice Senior Living at East Amherst, has been in the restaurant industry since she was 17 years old. Her passion for cooking started at the young age of 5 years old while watching her mother cook in the kitchen. Judy has fine-tuned her culinary expertise over the last 24 years. Judy’s work is essential to every meal we produce for our residents. She listens carefully to all constructive critiques from residents to perfect her skill and provide the best service available in the senior living industry. Over Judy’s six-year tenure here at Solstice Senior Living, her dedication to exemplary work has catapulted her through the industry standards. She also recently took first place among other local senior living communities with her creation of tasty Asian shrimp tacos!
Judy holds an associate degree in computer aided drafting and an associate degree in criminal justice. Judy is a proud mom to a daughter and a son and “Yaya” to three grandchildren.
Vibrant Life Director
Rebecca Rumschik, Vibrant Life director for Solstice Senior Living at East Amherst, brings forth extensive knowledge in multiple faucets of the senior living industry. Her comprehensive work in both assisted living and memory care have equipped Rebecca to be successful as our director of creative outlets here at Solstice. Rebecca has also worked with students ranging from ages 16 to 30 with the Catholic Charities program. Her adoration and empathetic nature for helping seniors and individuals in need helps our Vibrant Life program grow each day. Rebecca is responsible for fielding any and all suggestions from our residents and developing them into successful programs at Solstice Senior Living. As she continues to grow with the Solstice Senior Living team, our residents will reap the benefits of her knowledge.
Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology with a concentration in human services as well as a minor in education and psychology. She was also a basketball college athlete all four years of schooling. She is a proud mother to a playful toddler.
